Craft that lasts for generations

Our entire range is made in our own workshop. Dutchceramics (Montagne Aardewerkfabriek BV) was founded in 1950 and still works according to traditional Delft and Gouda ceramic methods. From making the molds to firing, glazing and decorating: everything is done in-house and by our own craftsmen.

The process takes time and attention – and this is reflected in the refined brushstrokes, deep colours and durable finish of each piece. We do not make mass production; Each item goes through multiple specialist hands and gets all the care it deserves.

How our signs are created

In our workshop, each piece goes through a careful and completely manual process. It starts with shaping the clay and making a tight basic shape. The piece is then dried and fired several times, so that it becomes strong and durable. Only then do our pottery painters come into action: they apply the décor with fine brushstrokes, layer by layer. After glazing, a final firing follows, during which the colours get their depth and shine. Because of this traditional working method, every piece is different: A unique work of art that has been made with attention and craftsmanship.
