Our commemorative plates can be put together completely according to your wishes. You can choose from various shapes and diameters from 22 to 42 cm, supplemented with our classic floral border or a design that you supply yourself. Think of:

Our entire range is made in our own workshop. Dutchceramics (Montagne Aardewerkfabriek BV) was founded in 1950 and still works according to classic Delft and Gouda ceramic methods. From shaping the clay to painting, glazing and firing: everything is done under one roof and by our own professionals.

This careful working method is reflected in the details, the deep color and the neat finish of each piece. Whether you choose one unique hand-painted plate or a larger edition via screen printing: each item goes through experienced hands and gets the attention it deserves.

How our commemorative plates are made

Our commemorative plates are made entirely by hand according to a clear, traditional process:

1. Forming the base: The clay is shaped by hand into a tight and even base shape.
2. Drying and pre-baking: The plate is slowly dried and fired for the first time to make it firm.
3. Applying the design: Our pottery painters apply the décor with fine brushstrokes. In the case of customization, we process your photo, text, logo or illustration.
4. Glazes: The plate is provided with a transparent glaze layer for protection and a beautiful finish.
5. Final firing at high temperature: During the final firing, the characteristic blue colour and shine appear.

This method makes each plate different: a unique, carefully crafted piece that can last for years.
