Delft Blue Clocks

A Delft blue clock is one such object that often remains in the same place for years. Not only to read the time, but also because the clock becomes part of your interior. At Dutchceramics, we produce our ceramic clocks in our own factory in Gouderak. We carry out almost the entire production process ourselves. This gives us a lot of freedom in the design and we can also make custom clocks for you in addition to our standard collection.

Traditionally crafted

Each clock starts with a ceramic workpiece. The casting clay is poured into plaster molds and then given time to dry. The ceramics are then fired for the first time during the biscuit firing.

After this first firing, the decoration is applied. Depending on the design, this is done by hand or with the help of screen printing. Then the glaze is applied and the second firing follows.

Only when the ceramic is completely finished are the movement and the other parts assembled. Then we check that the clock is neatly finished and functioning properly before you receive it.

Customization is also possible

In addition to the standard collection, we also produce custom clocks. Almost any image can be translated into a ceramic design.

In our factory in Gouderak, we produce almost the entire ceramic process in-house. This starts with the casting clay and only ends when the clock is completely finished and checked.
